Some free radicals are produced during respiration and your body actually needs a certain amount of them to neutralize bacterias and other bugs that would attack your immune system. However, it’s very easy for them to grow beyond the needs of your body. Enter antioxidants. These awesome little scavengers bind with free radicals and stop the oxidation process in its tracks.
