We all want to keep beautiful and radiant skin. However, as we age, it becomes increasingly difficult to do so and it has many women wondering whether or not they should “go under the knife” or shell out hundreds of dollars at the skin care counter in expensive department stores.

However, there are some skin care tips that you can employ into your daily regimen that are neither expensive or hard to accomplish.

First, whenever you head outside, make sure you are wearing sunglasses or a wide brimmed hat to protect your eyes from the sun. In addition, wear a moisturizer that doesn’t only hydrate your skin, but also has sunscreen incorporated into the ingredients.

Next, as you age, make sure you start to wear lighter cosmetics and hair colors. The darker you go in either of these departments, the older you look. Invest in lighter lipsticks, lighter foundations or eye shadows and instead of going darker when you have your hair done, have lighter shades incorporated into your natural or dyed color.

Another idea is to take daily supplemental vitamins to keep your appearance looking fantastic. The theory is based on the idea that you can do things to improve your external appearance, but unless you are focusing on the internal as well, you will be running yourself in circles. Therefore, take supplements like resveratrol or acai berry along with Vitamin B, E, and omega 3 fish oil to help your body fight the march of time.

Finally, use an all over moisturizer every day. If you can find one that has Q10 as an ingredient, even better. Q10 can help improve the appearance of skin and increase overall elasticity and firmness. Q10 is naturally present in our bodies, but as we age, this is one vitamin that we tend to become deficient in.
