Vichy LiftActiv Serum 10 Review

Does it Lift Your Face, or Just Your Cash?

There’s been quite a bit of noise about Vichy’s LiftActiv Serum but is it really all that it’s cracked up to be?

Vichy, a L’Oreal Paris Company, uses some of the latest ingredients in this product but new doesn’t necessarily equate to better.

Throughout the following paragraphs, we’re going to take a look at the research behind the leading ingredients as well as sift through what users are saying about the LifActiv Serum 10.

By the end of this article, you’ll have a better idea of whether or not this serum deserves a spot in your age management routine.

What Do They Claim?

Vichy’s claim about their serum is fairly straightforward; they claim that it boosts your skin’s radiance and decreases the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and large pores in order to make you look younger. It supposedly gives you firmer, tighter skin in 10 minutes, and “dramatic, lasting results” in a month. Deceptively simple sounding, but it’s pretty big talk.

Let’s take a look at what’s in this serum that claims to do what every woman over 30 dreams of in order to stay young looking.

What’s In It?

After water, the second ingredient in the serum is Rhamnose, a natural plant sugar that Vichy claims improves skin rejuvenation including production of collagen and new skin cells. Actually, there’s some tentative research that backs up this claim.

Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGE) damage protein fibers so that your skin loses its elasticity and form. In-vitro cells treated with rhomnose produced fewer AGE’s so at least in a petri dish, the ingredient shows promise as an anti-aging tool.

There’s also hyaluronic acid listed as just the 8th ingredient. As we know, this is a humectant that does a great job of holding water in your skin. Another interesting ingredient is adenosine. It’s derived from yeast and plays an important role in cell production and function.

There are also several chemicals that may irritate your skin or present other health hazards.. Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid and Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid are the main ones. To be fair, these are actually found in many products, but are in pretty prominent positions in this serum.

Now that we know what’s in it, let’s take a look at what real-life users have to say about this serum.

What Are Users Saying?

To begin, users agree that Vichy’s Liftactiv Serum 10 brightens skin, smells good, and feels silky going on. It also apparently takes just a little bit to cover your entire face, so that’s a good thing.

Where people begin to disagree is with the wrinkle-fighting ability of the serum. It seems that long-term users really like the product but some people don’t get the promised 10-minute results. Very few people report breakouts and it seems to work well with other products.

Final Word

I’m not a huge fan of all of the excess chemicals in this product and if you have sensitive skin, it’s possible that you’re going to have a reaction to the serum. However, there were many users that absolutely loved the product, so there may be something to it. The best thing that I can tell you is to look at what’s in it and decide for yourself.
