Lancome Renergie Lift Multi-Action Night Cream Review

Finally, A Night Cream That Really Makes You Look Younger?

If you’re like most of us, you’ve been through a dozen different creams and probably wasted hundreds of dollars in your search for an effective lifting and firming night cream.

Most of us don’t mind paying for results but the problem in the beauty industry is that cost doesn’t necessarily equate to quality. Just because you pay top dollar for a product doesn’t mean that you’re getting anything better than you can pick up at the drugstore.

On the flip side, there are some top names that are costly because their products really work, and Lancome is one of them. We’re going to take a look at their Renergie Lift Multi-Action Night Cream to see if it’s at the top of the line or just another flop.

What Do They Claim?

Lancome has some pretty lofty claims for this product but they also suggest that it works best in conjunction with their eye cream, day cream and foundation. Not surprising, but the ingredients in the products are similar, or work in conjunction with one another, so they may be doing more than just trying to sell you more stuff.

Like the other products in the line, Lancome claims that the night cream uses their Multi-Tension technology to achieve results though nobody really says what that means. They claim that the benefits are as follows:

  • It’s non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and dermatologist tested
  • The cream is great for all skin types, even sensitive or dry skin

  • Reduces wrinkles and smoothes your skin in 4 weeks
  • Makes your skin look denser, firmer, and replenished
  • Works at night when your skin is in peak repair mode

Just from the claims, I’m expecting this cream to have hyaluronic acid, squalane, and at least some collagen-stimulating peptides in it. Let’s take a look.

What’s In It?

One of the first ingredients listed after water is apricot seed oil, which is rich in the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E. It’s been used in Chinese medicine to sooth irritated and inflamed skin. Cool. Great start, but what else is in it?

Capric Triglyceride, an excellent humectant and derivative of coconut oil, forms a barrier over your skin so that you don’t lose moisture while the shea butter, among other ingredients, moisturizes. As suspected, there are two major collagen-growth stimulators: adenosine (which is also an anti-inflammatory) and acetyl tetrapeptide-9.

The list of cool ingredients is rounded out by the same two antioxidants that are present in the other products in this line: linseed oil and black tea ferment.

Well, the ingredients list looks pretty decent. There aren’t a ton of parabens or other gunk and comparatively speaking, the functional ingredients such as stabilizers, fragrances, and preservatives in Renergie Lift Multi-Action Night Cream are safe and kept to a minimum. I like it, but let’s see what users are saying about it.

What Are Users Saying?

Users seem to like this product but there really weren’t many chiming in with serious wrinkles. The biggest deal about this cream seems to be how moisturizing it is. Even people with sensitive or oily skin tones report that this is great to use at night because it’s not oily, goes on well and doesn’t break them out even though it’s pretty thick.

Another plus that people noticed was improved skin texture and luminosity. People just seem to like it in general and other that one person who said that it was “OK”, all of the reviews are positive so far.

Final Word

This night cream, and in fact the entire line, uses adenosine, antioxidants and peptides in place of traditional wrinkle-fighting ingredients such as retinol but there’s something to be said for keeping up with science. The adenosine is getting some good reviews from the researchers and isn’t light sensitive like retinol is.

My advice is that if you can afford this cream and are just looking for a great moisturizer that helps out with early signs of aging without breaking you out, give this night cream a shot. Since it’s a bit expensive, I’ve taken the time to find you some better deals than you’ll get at a department store. Click here to find Lancome Renergie Lift Multi-Action Night Cream.
