Will It Turn Your Dry, Crepey Skin Soft and Young Again?

Moisture retention is a huge part of keeping your skin looking young and fresh but the older you get, the harder it is to maintain moisture in your skin.

DermaSilk has a product that they claim is formulated specifically for dry, mature skin. Today we’re going to take a look at the ingredients in the Skin Perfect Moisturizing Cream and find out what real users are saying in order to determine if it really IS the product that will give you perfect skin.

What Do They Claim?

According to Dermasilk, their Skin Perfect Cream is nourishes, hydrates and soothes mature, extremely dry skin. It does this using botanicals, calcium, green tea, shea butter and chamomile. The cream also supposedly reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and sagging and is non-greasy.

Frankly, I’m eager to take a look at what’s in it because there are very few ingredients that can actually diminish facial sagging. That’s more of a surgical or injectable thing.

What’s In It?

Just a quick glance through the ingredients list shows that it does indeed contain a ton of helpful, hydrating botanicals along with the green tea, shea butter, calcium and chamomile that it claims. Just a few of the botanicals include grape seed oil, pomegranate, gensing, bearberry and algae extracts and Echinacea extract. These are some of the best healing and moisturizing agents for mature skin on the market.

Now that we know that it has what it claims, let’s take a look at what users are saying about Skin Perfect Moisturizing Cream.

What Do Users Say About Skin Perfect?

This is a new product so there aren’t many reviews but the ones that do exist are positive. It’s moisturizing and goes on lightly with no greasy after-feel. It does keep skin hydrated and wrinkles look much better after use. People also report that skin feels a bit tighter, which I attribute to a couple of the botanical oils in it.

The one bad thing that was reported was that the product pills up if you rub it. It’s possible because it contains both liquid paraffin, aka wax, and beeswax. This could be a result of using too much because the majority of users report that it only takes a small amount to cover your entire face.

Final Words

This appears to be a good product if you’re just looking for a good moisturizer but it doesn’t have any big-dog anti-wrinkle ingredients. Though there are a ton of botanicals that help your skin look young and vibrant by adding moisture, it’s not going to help much if your skin is already well-hydrated. If, however, you’re looking for a product to nurture dry, mature skin, then this may be just the product that you’re looking for.
