CoverGirl Simply Ageless Serum Primer Review

Moist Coverage or Cakey Mess?

Are you preparing your maturing face properly for your foundation?

If not, you’re probably not getting the longest wear and best coverage out of your makeup.

We’re going to discuss why a primer’s important for mature skin, and tell you about a new product from CoverGirl called Simply Ageless Serum Primer that has your serum and primer all in one product.

CoverGirl and Olay have paired up once again to bring you what may be a fabulous, time-saving product that could reduce wrinkles while priming your face.

What Is It?

By definition, a primer for the skin is used much like an artist uses a primer for his canvas before painting in order to create a smooth surface so paint will glide on easily. In the world of make-up, a primer is used before applying foundation so that it glides on easily and covers effectively.

What Is It?

The job of a good primer is to create a barrier between your foundation and your skin so that your foundation isn’t absorbed. In addition to a primer, this product also contains a serum that’s actually Olay’s Regenerist Moisturizer. CoverGirl’s making some pretty big claims about it, too. Let’s take a closer look at this dual product and see if it does what it claims or if it’s just a waste of your time and money.

Most of us are familiar with Cover Girl cosmetics and skin care as well as Olay’s anti-wrinkle formulas. CoverGirl was founded in the 1960’s and since then, has evolved into one of the most successful drugstore cosmeceutical companies in the world.

Olay, of course, remains timeless. Your grandmother used their products and so, probably, do you. CoverGirl now carries a variety of products in their Simply Ageless line including a primer, but what is it about this line that makes it stands out above the rest? Let’s take a look.

What’s In It?

The essential ingredients in the Simply Ageless Serum Primer are Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3, which is an amino peptide, Green Tea Extract, vitamin E, Panthenol (known for its ability to attract and hold water), and allantoin, another emollient.

There are also several different silicons in it, which isn’t surprising considering the main purpose of primer is to provide a smooth surface. Basically, it’s got the stuff to back its claims.

What Are Users Saying?

Reviews on the Simply Ageless Serum Primer are actually pretty good. People seem to agree that it goes on well, provides good coverage without being heavy or cakey, doesn’t break you out, and leaves your skin feeling soft and moist.

Final Word

If you’re looking for a simple moisturizing primer then this is a good deal, especially for the money. If you’re looking for something with a bigger wrinkle-fighting bang, then this product probably isn’t the best choice. Spend your money elsewhere if you’re looking for more than just a good base for your foundation. Click here for a great deal on CoverGirl’s Simply Ageless Serum Primer.
