Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Protection and Perfection Serum Review

Do You Need a Hypoallergenic Serum to Fight Deep Wrinkles?

boots-no7-protection-perfection

Do most wrinkle-fighting creams break you out?

If so, we may have just the product for you. We’ve found an anti-aging serum that claims to have some great ingredients that will make you look younger without irritating your skin.

Today we’re going to review Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Protection and Perfection Serum to see if it may work for you.

What Do They Claim?

Boots No7 claims that their serum will give you younger-looking skin by reducing the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles using Pro Retinol, which also protects you from the environment. In addition, there’s a skin-firming peptide that makes your skin feel younger and firmer.

What’s In It?

Boots No7 does indeed contain retinyl palmitate, aka Pro Retinol, along with several different peptides, namely arabinogalactan, which is listed fairly high on the list and is used as a protein binder. It may have the potential to make your skin feel firmer. It also has palmitoyl oligopeptide and palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7 but they are the last two ingredients on the list so I question if there’s actually enough in there to be effective.

There are also the standard “slicking” agents, binders, preservatives and perfumes.

What Are Users Saying?

Out of more than 200 reviews, this product received 4.5 stars out of 5, so that’s saying something. Let’s take a look at what that means.

Only 13 people reported that it didn’t work for them at all. A couple of others reported that it broke them out and everybody else just loved it. They report that skin looks more luminous, eye wrinkles seem better and skin feels moisturized.

In addition, it’s lightweight, non-greasy and the smell is light and non-invasive.

Final word

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Protection and Perfection Intense Serum has the ingredients and the user reviews to back up its claims. We give it a sound thumbs up!

Bio-Oil Scar Treatment and Anti-Aging Oil Review

Does This Oil Really Fade Scars and Blemishes?

bio-oil-scar

Are you in the market for a product that helps fade blemishes and make your skin look younger?

If so, Bio-Oil may be just the product that you’re looking for. It’s the number 1-selling multi-use skincare oil in the United States and people who have used it swear by it.

We’re going to take a look at what it claims, what’s actually in it, and what real-life users are saying about it in order to determine if it’s worth your time and money.

What Do They Claim?

According to the label, Bio-Oil is effective at fading the appearance of scars and stretch marks, evening out skin tone, and making aging, dehydrated skin look and feel hydrated and younger.

It’s also recommended for use as a special intensive moisturizer, after-sun treatment, and as a bath oil.

What’s In It?

Right at the top of the list following mineral oil are the active ingredients. They include one of our favorite anti-aging ingredients, retinyl acetate, aka vitamin A., as well as vitamin E, Roman chamomile oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, calendula flower extract, sunflower oil and soybean oil.

These are all great ingredients with different healing, moisturizing and regenerating powers. The combination of all of them makes for a potentially potent serum that really does what it claims. Let’s take a look at what users are saying.

What Are Users Saying?

Nearly all of the reviews on Bio-Oil are positive and even the negative ones still report that skin felt smoother and looked better. Some of the best comments include that Bio-Oil helps with eczema, dry cracked skin and dull-looking skin. Sadly though, most people who tried it for scars didn’t notice much of an improvement unless the scar was brand new. Then, the improvement could be attributed to natural healing.

Users report that the Bio-Oil is lightweight, moisturizes well, smells good and absorbs well.

Final Word

We’re not really fond of mineral oil as the first ingredient but it’s not necessarily a deal-breaker either if the product works. In this case, we have to say that if you’re looking for something to heal scars, the user reviews just don’t recommend it for that but if you’re trying to treat eczema or other dry skin conditions, you may really enjoy it!

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting Eye Review

Do You Need an Eye Cream That Works?

clinique-laser-focus-eye

Eye creams are expensive and most of them simply don’t work.

We typically like Clinique’s products though so we were pretty excited when this addition to the Repairwear line came out.

Throughout the following paragraphs, we’re going to take a look at what’s in Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream, and see what real users are saying about it. Then we’ll give you the final not, or not. Let’s get started.

What Do They Claim?

Clinuque’s claim for their Repairwear Laser Focus Eye Cream is simple – it’s going to make your entire eye area look younger in a month. To be exact, the smile lines around your eyes are going to be reduced by at least 54% in four weeks. That’s some pretty big talk but they are, after all, Clinique. Let’s see if they can back it up.

What’s In It?

One of the best things about Clinique is that they don’t generally stuff their products full of junk fillers. They’re nowhere near completely natural but they do rely heavily on extracts and oils to do the majority of the work. This eye cream is no exception.

It’s packed full of healing and moisturizing herbals including squalane, algae extract, rosemary extract and cucumber extract, and those are just a few. There’s an entire boatload of beneficial herbals in this eye cream. Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid are in there too, which is always a good thing.

There are some standard emulsifiers, stabilizers and preservatives in there, but not many compared to other products. There aren’t any toxic or obviously harmful chemicals in there, either.

What Are Users Saying About Laser Focus Eye?

This is a “love it or hate it” product and the reviews are mixed about 70/30 with the majority loving it. Those people report rapid, marked improvement of fine lines, spots and wrinkles along with smoother skin and a better texture. They also say that their concealers and foundations glide on more smoothly and look more even.

The main two complaints among those who don’t like this cream are lack of effectiveness and irritation. Though burning or breakouts seem to be pretty uncommon, there are a few people who report that it happened. Most people who didn’t like the Repairwear Laser Focus Eye simply didn’t think that it worked in the way that it claimed.

Final Word

We like the fact that the product has hyaluronic acid, algae and herbals in it, though some retinol may make it even better. All in all, this eye cream has better ingredients than most other similar products and we think that if you need some help getting rid of the laugh lines, this may be a good product to try.

L’Oreal Futur*e Moisturizer + Sunscreen Review

Antioxidant E + Powerful Moisturizers for Younger Skin

loreal-future

Are you looking for a daily moisturizer that has antioxidants and sunscreen in it? If so, L’Oreal’s Futur*e Moisturizer may be just the product for you.

By the end of this review, you’re going to know what’s in it, what other users are saying about it and what we think of it!

What Does L’Oreal Say About Futur*e?

According to L’Oreal, this lotion helps protect your skin from the signs of aging with its moisturizing agents and SPF 15. It also works to replenish moisture and make your skin smoother.

They say that it has a patented Beta Hydroxy Acid, vitamin E and sunscreens that protect you from both UVA and UVB rays. It’s also PABA free.

What’s In It?

The product really does have the stated ingredients. The sunscreens are octocrylene and ensulizone. Ensulizone is a UVB blocker that’s often used when a less greasy feel is desired but there are some concerns about possible cancer-causing research on this product.

Octocrylene is a UVA and UVB absorber that’s generally recognized as safe.

Futur*e also contains vitamin E in the form of tocopheryl acetate along with the BHA capryloyl calicyic acid. Finally, there are several moisturizing agents including panthenol.

There are, of course, the standard stabilizers, perfuming agents and preservatives. The product comes with a warning about possible irritation or burning if you have sensitive skin and does contain more than one ingredient that may cause irritation.

What Are Users Saying About Futur*e?

For the most part, people like this product and report that it leaves your skin soft without feeling greasy. Women looking for age-defying products say that it leaves your skin looking rested and younger looking.

Other good things that people say about Futur*e is that it goes on well, absorbs quickly and does a good job at keeping your skin hydrated.

On the downside, a minority of people had issues with skin irritation, breakouts and and the perfumey smell.

Final Word

Though this product has some ingredients in it that may cause irritation, it does have everything that L’Oreal claims, including sunscreen and vitamin E. We also like the fact that it contains BHA, which is proven to help eliminate dry patches and dead skin so that new skin can grow and collagen can synthesize.

Because of that and the affordability, we’re giving L’Oreal’s Futur*e Moisturizing Lotion a thumbs up. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to try in on a patch of skin first for a couple of days.
