Boscia Super-Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm Review

Need to Get Rid of Under-Eye Bags?

boscia-super-cool-de-puffing-balm

Nothing can do more to make you look tired and old than bags under your eyes but finding a product that gets rid of them can be a real money-wasting hassle.

Bosia claims to have a product that will work miracles for you if you suffer from puffy eyes and dark circles called Super-Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm.

By the end of this article, you’ll know whether or not it has the ingredients to back up the claims, and what real users are saying about it.

What Do They Claim?

Boscia claims that their Super-Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm cools, soothes, and de-puffs tired eyes immediately using their seven-peptide complex. They say that their super-cooling, hydrating balm also helps reduce fine lines and dark circles while blending well under or over makeup. I think that the operative words here are “tired eyes”.

One thing that you need to know in advance though is that there are many different conditions that cause dark undereye circles. Some of them are fixable with creams and some of them are caused by genetics or health issues. Smudges caused by the latter issues won’t go away with simple creams. To learn more about what causes dark circles, check out our article, How to Get Ride of Dark Undereye Circles for Good.

What’s In It?

There are a slew of herbal anti-inflammatories, soothing agents and moisturizers in the balm including henna, jojoba, aloe, rosemary, tumeric and basil extracts. There’s also palmitoyl oligopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 and acetyl tetrapeptide-5 which are all good for stimulating dermal repair and rebuilding the layers of skin to help reduce fine lines and keep you looking young.

To help brighten your eyes, there are tints and light-refracting agents in the balm including mica, pearl powder and titanium dioxide.

What’s perhaps even better is what’s NOT in the product. It’s specially formulated without the use of the following:

  • Parabens
  • Fake dyes or fragrances
  • Pthalates
  • Petrochemicals
  • GMO’s (genetically modified plant or animal organisms that are banned by most “developed” countries)
  • Triclosan (an anti-bacterial agent that may possibly affect hormonal regulation)

What Are Users Saying?

Not surprisingly, the people who report that Boscia’s Super-Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm works the best for them are those with dark circles and puffiness caused by lack of sleep, partying or stress. Since these are really the only causes that can be successfully treated with an external eye cream, it stands to reason that the product works well under those circumstances.

Everyone agrees that it’s great at moisturizing, cooling and brightening, and most agree that it works well both under and on top of makeup without making a streaky mess. It lasts quite awhile too; even those who use it on a near-daily basis report that it lasts for months.

Reviews are mixed on how it does on fine lines and wrinkles, but those who report no effects haven’t used the product for more than a week or two.

A word of caution: if you’re sensitive to mentholated products, the cooling agents in this product may irritate your eyes though most people reported that it was simply cooling and tingly in a pleasant way.

Final Word

If you’re only suffering from day-after-a-rough-night puffiness and dark undereye circles, you’re going to love this product. If you’re suffering chronically from these problems, you’re probably not going to love it as much.

As with all cosmetics, it will melt if you leave it in the car or in your purse where it can get hot. Though that’s common sense, it was a comment made by a couple of users, so now you know.

This product can be a little pricey if you buy it in a department store so click here to find a better deal on Boscia Super-Cool De-Puffing Balm.

Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Antioxidant Lotion Review

The Best of All Worlds, All in One Pretty Jar?

estee-lauder-daywear-advanced-lotion-spf

Wouldn’t it be great if we could have one face product that moisturizes, protects you from the ravaging effects of the sun, AND reduce wrinkles and dull skin?

Estee Lauder claims to have just such a product; their DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 15 may be exactly the product that we’re hoping for.

Since I hate taking the time to put on 7 layers of stuff just to look great, products like this one catch my eye. We’ll take a look to see if it’s all that it’s cracked up to be.

What’s Do They Claim?

Estee Lauder claims that this product protects you from fine lines and wrinkles while working to get rid of the ones that you have. It protects you from sun damage using advanced, broad-spectrum sunscreens and moisturizes with long-lasting hydration.

The antioxidants that it uses are formulated to “recycle” all day so that you’re protected from skin-damaging free radicals well past the time when typical creams stop working. It’s dermatologist-tested and non-acnegenic.

That’s definitely something new. Let’s take a look at what’s in it to see what they’re actually using.

What’s In It?

First, Estee Lauder claims that this product provides broad-spectrum sun protection, and indeed it does. It contains avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene and oxybenzone. If that won’t protect you, then you may as well stay inside.

In addition to your standard moisturizers, emollients and preservatives, there are a few really cool new ingredients found in this lotion. The first is ergothioneine, or EGT. It’s an amino acid found mostly in mushrooms that acts as a “smart anitoxidant”. It actually helps your body preserve levels of other antioxidants such as vitamins C and E (which are also in the lotion), and it reverses the damage caused by the uv radiation. Without getting too scientific, it’s a super-antioxidant, too.

Another interesting ingredient found in Estee Lauder’s Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion is thermus thermophillus ferment. In a nutshell, it’s created from fermenting an organizm found deep within the sea in hydrothermal vents and is a high-tech sunscreen that actually increases protection as temperatures rise.

Finally, there are numerous herbal antioxidants, anti-inflammatories and moisturizers as well as our favorite humectant, hyaluronic acid and ph balnacers.

Sounds great, but what do people who actually use it think?

What Are Users Saying?

The first thing that people mention is the lovely, light, cucumber scent. It seems to be a real hit for people with normal to dry skin but some users say that it may be too much for oily skin. Folks who are prone to break out report that this lotion is gentle to their skin.

Users notice a nice glow and soft feel to their skin as well, and also notice improvement in fine lines and wrinkles. Finally, it’s light enough and absorbs quickly enough to wear under your foundation without fear of greasiness or slipping.

Final Words

This is a great lotion if you’re looking for a moisturizer, sunblock and wrinkle-fighting cream all in one bottle, and who isn’t? Even if you have sensitive skin, you’ll probably love it. Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum Review

Perfectly Skin-Perfecting or a Perfect Waste of Money?

boots-no-7-protect-serum

Are you still looking for the perfect serum to add to your age management routine?

Boots No 7, one of the top beauty lines in the world, has an award-winning serum that may be just what you’re looking for.

Their Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum is designed to help you fight wrinkles and fine lines but can it do what it claims? Let’s take a closer look.

What Do They Claim?

The anti-aging serum is supposed to be a rich, luxurious serum that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It contains the known wrinkle-fighting Pro Retinol and their antioxidant complex to protect you from environmental damage.

The peptide complex that they claim is in it will supposedly maintain and even boost your skin’s elasticity.

It’s dermatologist tested and has even been independently tested in a year-long trial and the findings indicate that it has long-term anti-aging benefits for people with even the most sensitive skin.

Wow. Sounds awesome, but does it really have all of that stuff in it?

What’s In It?

The ingredients list in Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum reads like a who’s who of the anti-aging world. It’s got the standard emollients, stabilizers, and moisturizers but the serum also has exactly what it claims.

It’s got Pro Retinol, palmitoyle oligopeptide and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 (aka Matrixyl), vitamin E, and a few different herbal extracts that are known to improve circulation and otherwise help your skin flourish.

If this serum is as good as its ingredients indicate, then there’s no wonder that it won awards.

What Are Users Saying?

Considering the ingredients, it’s no surprise that people who use the serum are reporting that their wrinkles are reduced. What’s surprising though is that it also seems to help with age spots and melasma.

Other benefits include softer skin, improved texture, and ease of use. The tube that it comes in is extremely user friendly so that even if your hands are a bit sore, you can use the serum.

A handful of users report minor irritation that lasts for a few minutes after application but then goes away. Other than that, there are no negative reviews. Well, a couple of 20-somethings report that they love the moisturizing component but notice no change in wrinkles but I seriously have to wonder how serious their aging issues can be at that age.

Final Word

This product has both the user reviews and the ingredients to really sell it to me. I like the idea that it has the Pro Retinol, the Matrixyl 3000, and the antioxidant combination. It can effectively fight wrinkles and skin tone issues while protecting your from further damage.

The only thing that could make this serum better would be sunscreen agents but then again, that’s what day creams and moisturizers are for. If you’re looking for a heavy-hitting, 3 dimensional age management serum, then I’d seriously consider giving this one a shot.

Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 Review

Are You Skipping the First Step in your Age Management Routine?

skinceuticals-fusion-UV

The best way to stay young looking is to avoid wrinkles, fine lines and age spots to begin with.

In order to do that you need a proactive skincare routine that protects your skin from all of the hazards of day-to-day living.

Probably the most important step to maintaining youthful skin is preventing sun damage but many suncreens are oily, chalky-looking and irritating and don’t protect you from both UVA and UVB rays. Also, the smell of coconuts is great if you’re at the beach but you may not want to smell like you’re heading to the shore if you’re really heading to work!

Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 may be just the product that you’re looking for. Let’s take a closer look to see if the ingredients and user reviews back up the product claims.

What Do They Claim?

Skinceuticals’ claim for this product is pretty straightforward. Basically, it protects you from UVA and UVB sun damage, absorbing immediately without causing greasiness or heaviness. They use color-infused technology that makes all skin tones look healthier and radiant. They claim that it’s great even for kids or people with extremely sensitive skin.

What’s In It?

There were a couple of things that jumped out at me as soon as I looked at the ingredients list for Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense. The first is that titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are the first two ingredients. Both provide UVA and UVB protection though titanium dioxide isn’t as broad-spectrum as zinc oxide is.

There are soothing and healing agents including green tea extract and a couple of different fruit extracts.

The sunscreen also has sufates and at least one petroleum product in it, so if that’s an issue for you, then now you know.

What’s NOT in this particular product is good, too. There’s no fake coconut scent so you won’t be getting the nostalgic beach blues all day long. Finally, there’s iron oxide which may help give you a faintly bronze, glowy look.

The ingredients look good so let’s take a look at what actual users have to say.

What Are Users Saying?

This is one of the rare, highly-rated-by-everyone products. People from across the spectrum love it. The top benefits that people report are:

  • Non-comedogenic – it’s doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts even on sensitive skin.
  • Non-greasy and light
  • Provides great SPF
  • Faint tint looks natural
  • Lasts several hours
  • Moisturizing
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Seems to work well on all skin tones.

Final Word

There really aren’t any bad user reviews of this product and the ingredients are decent. It’s not going to make you look chalky and the light, florally scent dissipates quickly. It’s non-greasy and doesn’t cause breakouts. In short, it does everything that it claims to do and the price really isn’t that bad. I say give it a try.

This sunscreen can be a bit pricey if you buy it from a department store so click here to find Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50.

4 Ways Wanting to Look Younger Can Help You Live Longer

How Your Anti-Aging Routine Increases Your Longevity

Are you tired of hearing the phrase, “aging gracefully”?

If so, you probably actively seek ways to look younger and I have some good news for you.

New research is indicating that people who actively seek healthy means of looking younger actually live longer.

Note that I said “healthy”. Obsession is never a good thing, and we’ve all seen the cosmetic surgery addicts on TV as proof that this is an issue the anti-aging arena as well as in any other area of life.

The behaviors that I’m referring to include exercising and eating right to keep your body looking great, actively seeking beauty creams or the occasional well-chosen procedure to shave off a few years, and taking an interest in such things as makeup and hair.

But what does vanity have to do with longevity? Excellent question. To begin, it’s not a matter of vanity, it’s a matter of caring about your personal appearance and having a positive self-image. Let me give you some examples of why I think that there’s a connection between proactively aging and just getting old.

Exercise

Exercise at any age is a good thing, but it’s particularly helpful as you get older. 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity combined with 20 minutes 3 times per week of weight training helps to keep your weight down and also maintains good bone health. Both of these contribute to a longer, healthier life. Though the primary reason that many people exercise is to improve or maintain a good physical appearance, the anti-aging benefits are there, too.

You probably already knew about the obvious benefits of physical exercise but here’s a surprise: exercise actually works at the molecular level to preserve the part of DNA cells that cause you to age (see our article on telomeres here for a better explanation). This actually slows down the physical aging process.

Finally, did I mention that exercise increases HGH (human growth hormone) exponentially? Especially in individuals who participate in interval training-type exercises, HGH levels were significantly higher before exercise than after. If you don’t know about the anti-aging benefits of increased HGH levels, check out our HGH article.

Socialization

People who have active social lives live longer and are physically healthier than those who do not and a big part of having a successful social life is a positive self-image. Exercise obviously contributes to this, and if somebody feels the need to spend a little extra on wrinkle cream, have a little nip here or tuck there, or head to the hairdresser to cover up those grays, then to each their own.

This isn’t just about living longer, though. It’s also about living better. After all, what’s the point of living to 120 if you’re physically and mentally incapacitated? Having a healthy social life helps keep your brain healthy, too, because you’re keeping it engaged and active

Research shows that people who regularly interact with social groups have lower instances of Alzheimer’s disease and other debilitating illnesses, so call up your buddies and schedule an afternoon of activity or an evening of fun!

Eating Right

People who care what they look like generally take care to eat a healthy diet in order to maintain weight and take advantage of age-defying anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

What you may not know is that eating lots of antioxidant-rich foods also preserves you on the inside by protecting you from such diseases as cancer, heart disease, macular degeneration, high blood pressure and other life-shortening illnesses.

Omega-3 foods also play a role in keeping your telomeres healthy, so make sure that you’re eating plenty of fish. There’s also a supplement that you may want to check out called Product B.

Final Word

Though wanting to look younger may seem superficial to some, in reality, the effort that goes into it actually helps you to live longer and be happier. All of the things that we’ve discussed above also help reduce stress, improve the quality of your sleep, and help to keep your mind stable and your relationships healthy, all of which contribute to a longer, happier life.

If that’s superficial then I guess you’ve got me, but at least I’ll live to be happy AND pretty when I’m old!

Youth Surge Age Decelerating Moisturizer Dry/Combination Skin Review

A Surge Toward Younger-Looking Skin, or Just Another Greasy Sunscreen?

If you’re looking for a moisturizer to make your dull, aging skin look younger, brighter and plumper, then Clinique claims to have to product for you.

Their Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Decelerating Moisturizer for Dry/Combination Skin is available both online and in department stores and claims to use the latest technology to restore a youthful vibrance to your skin. Can it really?

As usual, we’ll take a look at what Clinique claims that their product can do, then compare that with the actual ingredients and what users are saying about it. Then we’ll decide if we’re going to “surge” to the store, or just keep looking!

What Do They Claim?

Clinique claims that this moisturizer uses the latest sirtuin technology to incorporate youth restoring agents that give you younger looking skin that’s full of collagen and elastin.

That’s pretty much all that they have to say, but that’s plenty. Let’s take a look and see if the product has the ingredients to back up the claims.

What’s In it?

Sure enough, the product has three different types of sunscreen in it: octinoxate, octisalate and titanium dioxide. It contains sirtuin, which is a protein that regulates certain biological functions and pathways. One of the things that they do is control cell reproduction.

The product also has propylene glycol, so if you’re allergic to that, you should probably stay away from this cream. If you’d like more options, check out our article, The Top 4 Wrinkle Fighting Moisturizers for Combination Skin.

Let’s take a look at what users have to say about it to see if we can get a little better grasp on how it works.

What Are Users Saying?

Users with combination skin seem to really love Clinique’s Age Decelerating Moisturizer for Dry and Combination Skin but people with really dry skin report that it doesn’t have enough moisture to get them through the day.

Those who like it say that it’s non-greasy, doesn’t sting the dry spots, and makes your face feel soft and hydrated. Most of these women are between 40-49 and many report diminished fine lines and wrinkles as well as skin tone improvement.

Final Word

If you’re looking for a product that sits well under makeup, provides moisture, help with fine lines and sun protection, and doesn’t sting your dry spots or break you out, then you’ll love this product.

If you’re looking for heavy-duty wrinkle fighting or something to cure your age spots, you may want to keep looking or use a hard-hitting night cream or serum along with this day cream.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with Sunscreen Review

Healthy, Young Looking Skin AND a Healthy Wallet?

Are you looking for a wrinkle cream that works but doesn’t break the bank?

There are a few tried-and-true ingredients that can be found in drugstore moisturizers that address your anti-aging needs without costing you an arm and a leg and Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF 15 claims to be just such a cream.

It doesn’t have the fancy bells and whistles of some of the higher-priced creams yet it claims to be the answer to your wrinkle-fighting prayers. Is it possible?

Throughout the following paragraphs, we’re going to take a look at what exactly this cream is supposed to do for you, what’s in it and what users are saying about it. At the low cost of about $12, it’s worth a glance.

What Do They Claim?

Neutrogena claims that their Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream is the #1 dermatologist recommended anti-wrinkle Retinol cream and that it’s proven in a clinical setting to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging while helping to prevent more from forming.

They claim that the non-greasy, lightweight cream absorbs easily and uses Retinol and a combination of vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, and moisturizers that work with your skin’s natural tools to even out your skin tone and build a layer of protective moisture. The SPF in it protects you from sun damage.

That’s quite a mouthful, so let’s take a look and see if it has the ingredients to back it up.

What’s In It?

Basically, the cream has everything in it that it claims that it does. It’s got vitamin E (2 types, actually), retinal and EDTA to help increase the penetration of the other ingredients. There are also a couple of different emollients as well as an ingredient to decrease the greasy feeling of some of the other moisturizers.

The sunscreen’s in there, too.

Just as an FYI, there are parabens and alcohol in this cream.

What Are Users Saying?

For moisturizing and skin tone improvement, people love this cream. For wrinkle relief, it’s a little mixed but oddly enough the ones who like it are typically in their 40’s and 50’s and the ones who report no noticeable difference in wrinkles were women in their 20’s. Go figure. Since I’m the age of the women who saw improvement, I’ll stick with their thumbs-ups.

An interesting side note to the whole deal is that both men and women like the lotion for use on their hands. They report softer, younger-looking hands and reduced signs of sun damage and age spots. A nice bonus, especially given the fact that the product only runs $10-$15 or so.

Final Word

For the money, this cream is great. If you’re expecting miracles, you may want to keep looking because there really are no peptides or anything else that can help lift and tighten your face other than the retinol. There are, however, some nourishing vitamins and decent moisturizing agents in there so you’re going to see improvement. Give it a shot – if nothing else, you’ve got a great, affordable hand cream if you hate it for your face.

Perrricone MD Cold Plasma Face Moisturizer Review

Does It Really Fight 10 Signs of Aging, or Just Beat Money From Your Wallet?

Are you looking for a moisturizer that’s free of all of the “bad stuff” but packed to the lid with all of the good stuff?

Perricone MD’s Cold Plasma may be just what you’re looking for but with the price tag that it carries (right around $100 or so, and as high as $150 from the Perricone website) let’s take a super-close look at what they claim, what’s actually in it and what real users have to say about it.

What Do They Claim?

Perricone MD claims that they’ve invested 5 years of research into the Cold Plasma series and have created a product that addresses the 10 visible signs of aging using Neuropeptides and DMAE. Those 10 signs include:

  • Wrinkles
  • Enlarged pores
  • Dryness
  • Redness
  • Discoloration
  • Uneven Skin Tone
  • Impurities
  • Loss of firmness
  • Loss of smoothness
  • Loss of radiance

Cold Plasma also claims to be great for all skin types, but that’s what they all say. If you have combination skin, you’ve heard that before!

What’s In It?

So what the heck is a Neuropeptide and what’s all the fuss about DMAE? Excellent questions, and I’ve researched both. Here’s what I found.

Neuropeptides (in this case DMAE) are peptides that block the release of neurotransmitters. In theory, the neuropeptide would act similarly to Botox, Dysport, or other neuromodulators. The problem is that there’s not much data showing that topical neurotransmitters can make it all the way through the skin down into the muscle. Maybe, maybe not.

There are a ton of other good ingredients in this product, though. There’s an oil-soluble form of vitamin C that’s been modified to penetrate your skin efficiently, retinyl palmitate (a more gentle form or vitamin A than retinol), hyaluronic acid, and several minerals and peptides. These are all great ingredients even if you leave out the neuropeptide claim.

What may be of more importance to some of you than others is what’s NOT in this cream. There are no sulfates, parabens, synthetic perfumes or artificial dyes. One thing that I don’t particularly like about this moisturizer is that there’s no sunscreen in it.

Overall though, I’m impressed with the ingredients but I want to see what people who’ve actually tried Perricone MD’s Cold Plasma have to say.

What Are Users Saying?

People love the Cold Plasma. It’s as simple as that. I tried to find bad reviews but the only one that I could come up with was a 3-star where a girl with sensitive skin claimed that broke her out for a couple of days, but then she went on to say that her face cleared up and is now better than ever.

One huge complaint is that it smells bad, but since it has no artificial anything in it, that’s sorta to be expected. The smell doesn’t seem to keep people from buying it though because they all say that no matter how bad it smells, it’s worth it for the results.

Final Word

Considering the reviews and the ingredients for this moisturizer, I’d have to say go for it if you can afford it. A word of warning, though: don’t set up the auto delivery until you know that you like it and want to reorder it. Those things are often difficult to stop once you start them. Also, don’t forget to add a sunscreen if you’re going to use this as your morning cream.

Olay Total Effects Touch of Sun Moisturizer Review

Soothing Moisture and Tanning All in One?

Oil of Olay, the producers of beauty balms and products since your grandmother’s time, has created what may be the perfect moisturizer for those of us who want a sun-kissed look without the sun damage.

Especially if you have fair skin, the sun is your enemy. It’s bad enough for darker-skinned people who have to deal with sun damage, but at least if you have darker skin, you’re still in vogue. Same goes for all of you porcelain-skinned girls.

However, those of us who are stuck in the middle, or have porcelain skin but want to be tan, are just stuck unless we want to expose our faces to that evil yellow disk in the sky.

Until now, that is.

Olay’s potential answer to our moisturizing prayers comes in the form of Total Effects + Touch of Sun Moisturizer. We’re going to take a look at what Olay claims and what users are saying about it to see if it really can shed some sunshine on our beauty routines.

What Do They Claim?

Since it’s a member of Total Effects family, the moisturizer fights seven different signs of aging, including:

  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • uneven skin tone
  • dull skin
  • rough skin
  • age spots
  • dryness
  • large pores

Olay also claims that it’s light, non-greasy, won’t clog your pores, and can be used on a daily basis.

Total Effects Touch of Sun Moisturizer uses vitamins and minerals plus just a touch of sunless tanner to make your skin look younger with a sun-kissed glow.

Wow, that sounds great. Now let’s take a look at what’s in it to see if the ingredients are there to back it up.

What’s In It?

There are a couple different forms of silicon in the moisturizer that make your face feel soft and smooth. There’s also salicylic acid fairly high up on the list so chances are good that it’ll help with acne and extra oil. Vitamin E helps with healing and soothing and squalane is a derivative of olive oil and is a great moisturizer.

Other ingredients include dihydroxyacetone, the main ingredient in sunless tanning products, and numerous emulsifiers and suspending agents.

The cream is by no means “politically correct”: it has alcohols, silicons, synthetic fragrance, and other and other unpronouncables but Olay has never laid claim to being a “natural” company.

If that doesn’t bother you, this product has the ingredients to back up the claims, at least in theory.

What Are Users Saying?

Overwhelmingly, people love this product. There were a couple of people who reported breakouts or reactions but most people with sensitive skin reported no breakouts and excellent results. The only other complaint was that the product doesn’t have a sunscreen.

Some of the best things that users say about this cream is that the light tanning effect gives a nice dewy look and skin feels moisturized and soft.

Final Word

There aren’t any huge anti-aging ingredients in this product but there are some great vitamins and the tanner is a nice touch. If you don’t have significant wrinkles, you may really like this product. If you’d like to try it a lower cost than you’ll pay in the department store, click here for Olay’s Total Effects + Touch of Sun Moisturizer.

Top 4 Youth Restoring Moisturizers For Combination Skin

Make Your Combination Skin Softer, Brighter and Younger Looking!

Do you have problems finding a moisturizer that hydrates your dry spots without making your T-Zone greasy?

You’ve probably tried dozens of different lotions and moisturizers just to end up giving them away, taking them back, or chucking them in the trash because they just didn’t work on your face.

The path to the perfect moisturizer for your combination skin is irritating and expensive but we’re here to help. We’ve scoured the web in search of the best products in all price ranges. Regardless of your budget, we’ve found a product for you!

  1. Oil of Olay’s Total Effects + Touch of Sun Moisturizer

If you have combination skin, the sun is definitely not your friend! Though that’s the case for anybody with a face, it’s true in the short-term for people with combination skin because in addition to the long-term damage, too much such exposure increases sebum production which, strangely enough, can cause your painful dry patches to dry out even worse while making a complete oil slick of the rest of your face.

Keeping that in mind, it’s nice to have a touch of tan sometimes so this product made the top 4 list because in addition to being a well-loved moisturizer, it’s also got a touch of sunless tanning product in it. Plus, it’s made by Oil of Olay, the trusted creator of moisturizing creams since your grandmother’s day. To check out the full review on it, see our article, Olay Total Effects +Touch of Sun Review.

If you’d just like to take my word for it, click here to buy Olay Total Effects + Touch of Sun now.

  2. Perricone MD Cold Plasma Face

This product fights the 10 different signs of aging (wrinkles, dryness, redness, discoloration, enlarged pores, etc) using a whole host of good stuff including the latest new anti-aging superstar DMAE plus all of the old-school goodies like hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamins, and retinyl palmitate, aka the gentle form of vitamin A that converts to retinol.

The price tag on this moisturizer is up there, but for those of you with combination skin, you’ll be able to cut out your serums and night cream and just use this. Depending on what you’re using, that may actually reduce the cost of your anti-aging routine.

Click here to purchase Perricone MD’s Cold Plasma Face for less than you’ll pay buying it from the Perricone website.

  3. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF 15

If you need something basic to treat your fine lines and complicated combination skin needs, Neutrogena’s product may be just what you’re looking for. It doesn’t have all of the fancy peptides and “stuff” that the higher-dollar moisturizers do, but it’s got the ingredients that it claims to have, including retinol, and users love it.

  4. Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Decelerating Moisturizer for Dry Combination Skin
  5. This is Clinique’s answer to the needs of those of us with combination skin who need a good moisturizer that helps our dry patches without making our oily spots greasier. It’s also good if you’ve got fine lines or an uneven skin tone.

I like the fact that it’s got the sunscreen in it, too. Users consistently say that it sits well under makeup without fading throughout the day or causing streaks, which is a huge plus for areas like my T-Zone that are prone to getting oily halfway through the day.

The product uses their Sirtuin technology to help your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production and the 3 separate types of sunscreen really helped push this product into the top 4 for me.

Click here to try Clinique’s Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Deceleration Moisturizer for Combination/Dry Skin at a lower cost than you’d pay at a department store.
