Olay Pro-X Reviews

Is Olay Pro-X worth the price?

Olay Pro-X

Olay, one of the world’s leading cosmetic companies, has long been recognized as a leader in the anti-aging niche.

The Pro-X line is Olay’s most recent line of anti-aging products and includes the Wrinkle Smoothing Creme, Age Repair Lotion SPF 30, and Hydra Firming Cream.

These creams and lotions are known for their ability to not only decrease wrinkles, but also to even tone, correct hyperpigmentation, reduce acne scars, and treat rosacea as well. Though the line is a little pricey, users This is the most expensive product line by Olay, which is why it is important to examine them to make sure they work the way they are supposed to.

However, it is hard to get too in-depth when you look at why these products should be effective. Case in point, they do not have traditional anti-aging ingredients and are suspiciously devoid of proven ingredients that fight wrinkles and signs of aging like retinol. Furthermore, Olay has been very hush-hush about the ingredients of these products and encourages you to try their Pro-X Anti-Aging Starter Protocol that costs about $60. Expensive for a trial.

The only aspect of this line that is similar to other anti-aging treatments on the market is the fact that it does contain a high dose of antioxidants, which of course is a good thing, but there are plenty of other products who offer this for a lower price tag.

The Olay Pro-X line does not help with collagen production or generation which is usually a must in an anti-aging line and because it only promotes its antioxidants many users feel that it may prevent future wrinkles from occurring but it does not do anything to get rid of or reduce existing wrinkles or other damage to the surface of the skin.

I am very pleased with these products. Of course we are all looking for a miracle, and while this is not a miracle line it is a very good line of products that has brought me results. I am 57 trying not to look it!

After all the rave reviews and wonderful advertising I decided to give the Pro-X a try. The product feels a bit heavy when I put it on. I used it for almost a month and had to return the product when my face began to break out in a rash and pimples.

I used the intensive treatment mask, and the eye restoration complex, and both made my skin break out into a terrible rash. I had redness, itchiness, puffiness, and it made me appear older from the skin damage the eye restoration complex did to my eye area. Worse than that, since the product is open, and used, I cannot return it. So I am out over $100.

During 2010 I began to notice deep wrinkles forming around my lips and deep depressions under my eyes, like reverse bags without discoloration. Both of these issues developed quickly without any real explanation other than my age, which is 59. I had not lost or gained weight, nor had I been sick or overly tired, but I had been under a lot of stress at work. Because of the depth of the wrinkles I opted for the deep wrinkle formula from Olay. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised after just a week of applications, and I even missed the night application once or twice. Now, after about 6 weeks, the depth of the wrinkles around my lips have been GREATLY decreased and there is a HUGE difference in the depressions under my eyes. I am seriously impressed with this product. My skin has been sensitive to cosmetic products in the past but so far I have not experienced any breakouts or reaction to this product. One thing I did notice, however, is that the treated areas are easily damaged with even light scrubbing. I have always used a buff puff about once a week to remove deep grime because I work with animals and tend to get really grungy. When I did so, it caused an abrasion in a treated area on my cheekbone under my eye, where it wouldn’t have done that before. Using any exfoliating product probably wouldn’t be a good idea if you’re using this product. Even with that little issue I will continue to use this product and I would recommend it to friends.

I’ve been trying these products for almost a month. I notice that my skin feels softer but no other changes. I have a lot of dehydration lines now and little red spots. So I switched to something more moisturizing. My eyes were swollen during the whole time I was using the eye cream. Everything has cleared up with the use of the other products I’m using. I won’t be using these products again. I hope they work for other people. They certainly didn’t work for me.

I purchased the anti-aging kit to go along with my exfoliating cleanser. My husband and I both use it! It is an awesome product. We are younger and fighting the beginning signs of aging as well as preventing them. The people who expect to shell out $100 and get “face lift” results are seriously kidding themselves. This is lotion!!! Lol

I just tried the Pro-X Age Protection Lotion, and am returning it for the money-back guarantee. After just two applications, my face broke out in a stinging, red rash.

I’m afraid to cough up the $60 (even with the $7 coupon the company sent me) because of the rashes and pimples some users complain about. Since my skin is sensitive, and has slight rosacea, I think I’ll stick with the products I’ve found that just clean and moisturize without causing rashes or pimples. It took 30-40 years of trial and error to find things that work for my skin. $60 is a lot to spend for something that might just cause problems.

I am fairly young but noticed a few fine lines on my forehead. I read a ton of great reviews for these products online and decided to give them a try. I think the people who broke out in rashes are obviously allergic to the products. I have noticed a decrease in the lines on my forehead and several people have noticed an improvement in my skin and asked me what I’ve been using. I think it’s worth giving the pro x a try.

I started using olay professional eye restoration complex about a month ago. I have very baggy eyes and decided to give it a try. AMAZINGLY it has worked wonders. My husband and friends have noticed I have a much younger appearance and i look rested. It took about 2 weeks before a began noticing a difference. I can honestly say this eye cream has worked wonders for me and is worth the price. I will Definately buy this product again! Thanks olay!

I’ve tried everything, but have sensitive skin that breaks out easily (I’m 39)– and eye creams usually render my eyes puffy. Pro X is a miracle! My skin is smoother and more radiant after 1 week, and NO BREAKOUTS. The eye cream doesn’t seem to make my eyes puffy, nor does it sting like others I’ve tried. I’m a believer in Pro X–try it!

Spent a small fortune on the PROX and the Regenerist lines and continue to get substantial swelling and rashing, particularly around the eyes and on the neck with use. Have started the products and then stopped several times after rashes appear to assure it was the product and flare up occur each time after I resume with so I will have to discontinue and toss these products, much to my disappointment. I am 60 but have always had pretty good skin and taken care of it.

I’m in my early 30s and decided to look around for something to help with fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead when I lift my brows.
I have dry sensitive skin as well as Rosacea. I am using the full regimen (day & night creams, serum, eye cream, deep reair) and have seen a difference in the month I’ve been using it.
My Mom is in her late 50s and decided to buy it at the same time I did. There is a visible difference and her hudband and friends all noticed the improvements in her crow’s feet and laugh lines. She now looks no older than in her 40s and she’s loving it!!
I have a friend who tried the line and had some breakouts – and it’s like any other product: it’s not suited to everyone. But people with normal or dry skin seem to get better results than people with oily skin judging from the people around me who have tried the line. Only one had enough problems to stop taking it (and got her money back with the warranty).
I really think it’s worth trying the product since the results are truly visible. Don’t expect a face lift, but expect visible results!!

I’ve been using the regenerist line for a while and I’m pretty happy with it. So I decided to give the prox a try and after two weeks my skin is clearing up and feels much smoother.

I have tried most of the products, and I am very allergic to all of them. My eyes were swollen and red. My skin was red and very dry. I had the same problem with Skin Medica eye cream. I can only use Clinique and Neutrogena.

Does any face cream realy remove wrinkles…humm! I’ve tried several creams, even the real expensive ones and nothing worked. So far, I love the feeling Olay leaves on my face. I’ve tried the 5 day facial mask, but I can’t say for sure that I see a difference, but I will continue to use the product for at least 4 months. I have a strong feeling about Olay, especially the PROx. I’m 56 with a lot of sun wrinkles and I’m starting to accept that my skin is not as nice as others, but I was once beautiful, and I still feel beautiful inside. And I think that’s the most important thing. If anyone would like to share their experience with difference facial creams with me, please feel free.

Tried the eye cream and eyelids swelled up and blistered. I had to go to the hospital for an allergic reaction. Imagine my telling the ER doctor that I had tried a wrinkle cream!! How embarrassing! I also ended up with some bumps on one eyelid that is permanent!! Try l’oreal! Someone told me that Olay uses some kind of fish product and that causes the allergic reaction in alot of people.

Wow Patti – that’s horrible! I’ll check into the non-active ingredients here and see if there’s anything “fishy”. Are you usually allergic to fish products?

True. Unless a product specifically states that it’s safe to use on your eyelids, it’s best not to use it on them.

I used Olay total effects 7 in one anti-aging UV moisturizer, twice. The second time my face started to burn and became very swollen from my cheeks to my jaw line. The skin has gotten very crusty and still burns. It has been 6 days now and the swelling is still there. My neighbour thought I had gained 10 pounds. I have used anti-histamines but it has not helped the swelling. Has anybody got any ideas how to get rid of the swelling?

I have only used ProX for a week and have already seen results! My skin is brighter and lines around my mouth are starting to gradually fade. I haven’t noticed anything in my eye area which is where I need it the most.

I tried the Pro X moisturizer and now have to contend with small, hard pimples on my face. They are difficult to get rid of. This never happened before with other moisturizers. Their claim of NON-COMEDOGENIC is false.
