Best Anti-Aging Procedures
Figuring out what the best anti-aging procedures are can be a confusing, time consuming, and expensive task. It can be difficult to determine what is the best for your body, as well as what is best for your pocketbook and it is completely normal to have some trepidation over whether something is going to work, and how invasive you want to get rid of wrinkles or improve the appearance of your skin.
However, with this issue, I am really going to go back to basics and tell you that in my experience, the best anti-aging procedure out there is Botox, hands down.
The fact of the matter is, there are so many creams and serums and some of them are fantastic, but they also take time. From personal experience, I feel that Botox gives you the most bang for your anti-aging buck as well as the quickest results in the shortest amount of time.
I had Botox, three shots, or 15 units of the product, to a wrinkle that I have had on my forehead, that may not be noticeable to others, but I know it’s there. Now, just a disclaimer, I am only thirty-one years old and my dermatologist gave me a strict warning, she told me she would apply Botox to the wrinkle on my forehead and that was it, no coming back and asking for other applications in other areas. I agreed, first because I know I don’t need it in other areas, I’m too young to worry about laugh lines or crow’s feet and second, I don’t feel like voluntarily freezing my face of the ability to show expression.
If I need it in 15 years in other areas, that’s a different story.
However, I cannot even tell you how great this product worked on my one worrisome area. I go back to the dermatologist every four months to get a new treatment and what’s more is that I have seen overtime, this one particular, deep wrinkle becomes less severe each time I go back for another Botox treatment.
Therefore, when I repeat this story to someone and they look at me and say, “What do you need Botox for?” I take it in stride. This particular treatment allows me to keep the anti-aging products I buy to a minimum and it shows real results. In my eyes, that is the best type of anti-aging procedure. One that works.
